I have the same barcode but it's the European version. My front of disc has 7599-25838-2 Also sounds very good.
Looks like Teldec was in transition in 1988, a little later they added the RSA. I'm a sucker for variants, my US is the standard 16 tracker so I ordered a Teldec. Should be the same mastering between the two Germans/UK. The mastering may be different from the US 16. We'll see
I have both the Teldec and the US but I don't know where the Teldec is right now. I can't remember if the mastering is the same. Sorry, Cory.
Well, get to digging! Surprisingly Caroline a domestic seller had that first Teldec for dirt cheap. It's probably an un-proven bias but I really enjoy their manufactures.
It did indeed. I have both, just to cover all bases (and because I'm a FM nut). Never thought to compare the masterings! EG.
I had no idea Eric till Speedmaster brought it up there were differences! Wouldn't of even crossed my mind for a standard Warner GH title. Hopefully it's just those two and not something like the monstrosity that is Eurythmic's-GH

Thanks Eric. I don't trust AIFF format running through the meter. I've seen some skewed results from it.
It's not about the AIFF format but the standalone DR tool for Apple computers spits out incorrect values. Here are the correct values for the Euro Alsdorf press. Looks like the same mastering as the US with some tracks level shifted. Wow, that explains a lot, not just about the entries for this CD but for the entire database. I can’t believe I never knew that. Thanks!
Yes, most entries with Apple developed file extensions like AIFF and M4A are probably incorrect because of that faulty tool. I don't understand why it's still offered for download on the DR database site. Incorrect info is worse than no info at all, in my opinion.
