Ah yes, Band of Gypsys was outstanding. I have the Band Of Gypsys which was released in 1986 and that one is fantastic also.

Why is Abbey Road in this poll? I'm confused. The album was released in September 1969.

Abbey Road is a cute album, but no way Jose can it touch the Mighty Zep II for sheer R&R, which lets be honest here is what 1970 was all about :righton:

I can't vote for an album with dire songs like "Octopus's Garden" and "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" fer chrissakes.

Exactly, 3/4 of Abbey Road may be sublime but still...

Abbey Road does have staying power but the others are no slouches either.

your addition of Abbey Road has turned this into a boring and useless poll. Weren't the other results more interesting? Of course they were but I guess its more important for Beatles lovers to be able to say they still rule! Who cares now?

This poll includes albums that were at #1 on the U.S. Billboard chart in 1970. "Abbey Road" spent 3 weeks at #1 during January/February 1970.

Yep, it had to be Abbey Road. Second place to Bridge Over Troubled Water.

    Was LZII- now Abbey Road.

I know this makes a lot of folks here bristle, but that's the way it goes.

Abbey Road 2011 is fast becoming the Beatles most popular album, by the public concenus, then Revolver.

AR does not have the cool factor though imo, or does it ?

It was close for me but i'd have to say Zep II closely followed by Abbey Road

Abbey Road from an amazing year of contenders.
It is still way cool. Like most Beatles' projects there seems to be an underlying, undefinable mystery

My vote went to Led Zeppelin II

    2nd LZ III
    3rd Beatles Abbey Road

Much as I dig Abbey Road, I gotta give the nod to LZ II.

Well, this means that my pick is no longer Led Zeppelin II. It...Abbey Road. That's playing dirty!
