Donna Thatcher was a backup singer on many songs recorded in Muscle Shoals in the 60's before she moved to California, married Keith Godchaux and took his name, and joined the Grateful Dead.

Beck originally played on the track (in addition to a number of other songs), but his contributions were wiped, at which time Alan Parker was brought in to finish recording (and as they say, the rest is history).

My understanding was that it was a guitar tech/roadie for Oasis who played slide on that track, as Noel was too high on coke in the studio and physically unable to play. As for the attribution to Johnny Depp, it was purportedly done as an in-joke/nod to said tech by an embarrassed Noel.

    Whoa! That's not right!

Dangerous is a compilation of Ronnie Spector tracks from a 25-year period. "Say Goodbye To Hollywood" is the oldest of those, recorded and released in early 1977, when Hoffs was only 17 and just entering UC Berkeley! Which doesn't mean that "Say Goodbye To Hollywood" shouldn't be mentioned in this thread, because it's Ronnie backed by the E Street Band, produced by Little Steven Van Zandt!

Actually, it's the song "Dangerous" (from the 1987 film, "The Allnighter") that features Hoffs singing with Ronnie.
