The real Wilko and his Telecaster (the blood-red pickguard helped hide the fact that he never used a plectrum)

Great pic of Syd's guitar - looks pretty recent; I had no idea I still existed as such. But, as its neck decal says, it's actually a Fender Esquire, not a Tele (basically, it has one pickup rather than two)

PS. nice pics of Wilko too :righton:

Les Paul's original. The log. Not sure about the vintage of the log in the 2nd pic.

    That's actually a Broadcaster I believe...

Broadcasters came after The Esquire but before the Telecaster.

I've actually seen that in the Country Music Hall Of Fame in Nashville.

All the name-changing took place in 1950-1951. By 1953 the names Telecaster and Esquire were firmly established. Roy's "Nancy" was a Telecaster.

I'm sure you're right, but I have definitely seen photos of Roy holding a Broadcaster...

Always loved Lemmy's Rickenbacker by Ed Roman. It reminds me of those Swiss cuckoo clocks, and for "only" $20,000.00 you can have one too... Oy!
