One Carthage to look for is RT's Pour Down Like Silver, brilliant.

It is a dream of mine that a company like QRP will take on the RT era Fairport albums for a box.

Ditto the Hannibal. Perfect, or as near as. :righton:

I have one of these too. (2LP) Red Ribbon. It was my entry point into Fairport. Sounds good, but doesn't get played much now, as I got the albums subsequently.

Correct. Just out of interest I also checked my copy of Shoot Out the Lights (Hannibal), purchased around the same time. It's also near-immaculate , but I'd guess it's a Netherlands pressing. The label doesn't say where, but the deadwax has 'NL' engraved.

The only Hannibal/Ryko Lp I remember having trouble with is Danny Thompson: Whatever. It was substandard and i returned it. No replacement available. :shake: And it's never been available since!

The French pressed "Pour Down..", although made with Carthage parts, is the best that I have heard.

The French press of "Shoot Out..." is a unique mastering and is AMAZING, particularly side 2.
