I know for fact that one delay for the Exile reissue is that they're (including Don Was) are still hunting for and, in some cases, remixing the bonus studio stuff.

They reportedly played it at one show - Baltimore, I think?

Sounds Great To me ! Love Anything Stones that has something more for my Stones collection. "Ya Ya's" is one of their best Live recordings officially released anyway so I am hoping it's a nice package.

I would too...especially if the entire show was remixed fresh form the mutlitrack tapes and in it's entirety...no edits whatsoever. :)

Love is right, I guess. The unearthed Exile stuff is supposedly "stunning." Didn't hear it, but I was sworn to secrecy about Exile's details when Was was in Detroit recently. Supposed to be a surprise.

The setlists are accurate, although listing "Hey Jude" as having been performed by the Stones is an exaggeration.

At the end of "Sympathy for the Devil" from the Baltimore 11/26/69 (about 9:30 minutes into the track), Mick tosses off a 5 second excerpt of the "Hey Jude" singalong melody, the "naaaaa, na na, na na na na" bit. It's clearly Mick just riffing, but it's also clearly the Hey Jude melody.

If you want to hear it yourself, google "rolling stones hey jude baltimore 1969" and you will find an mp3 of the performance you can listen to.

I have this CD and don't really think it needs remastering.
Great news about Ya Ya's and Exile.

I'm really hoping that this will be a tip of the iceberg and that archival releases are going to finally start popping up regularly. For now, I'm going to try to relax and just wait and see what happens.
It is great if more material comes out which shows the world in official form what a great band the Stones were when Taylor was with them. I just fervantly hope, in some small way, that Mick Taylor himself is going to be the recipient of some kind of revenue flow from some of this-even if it's not direct. I also hope that Taylor gets some words of true acknowledgment from Mick and Keith in all of this. It's probably too much to ask for on my part as a fan. It's just that it would be nice. It would be a sign that the wisdom of one's aging is acting as the better part of valor. That would be a true and encouraging sign of change going on with Mick and Keith. It would help Taylor to make more peace within himself for his decision to leave all those years ago.
Like others have said here, I'll take any Mick Taylor material I can get. I hope archive stuff of all 3 era's will start becoming commonplace.

it was just remastered a few years ago... all that is new is iner notes... which IMO, if like Raritites... will be a waste of text and paper.

I'd like to hear the MSG concert sound more like does in the Gimmie Shelter movie. A surround mix of the entire show would be cool as well.

If you were in front of me I would use all my powrrs to get you to talk... thanks for getting me excited, i was already, and stuff like you said... oh man... I've heard so much cool stuff, but in poor to good quality over the years, the official stuff...
I really want an official release of the 45 rpm single of All Down The Line, among a few others...

If you're referring to the Mick and Keith quotes, they won't be new either...

News reports that Mr Klein has passed away.

Former Beatles and Stones manager Allen Klein has died
    Jul 4, 2009, 05:13 PM | by Nicole Sperling
    Categories: Legacy
Iconic and infamous music business entrepreneur Allen Klein has died after a long battle with Alzheimer's. He was 77.
Klein -- a controversial manager whose clients included Sam Cooke, the Rolling Stones, and the Beatles -- founded Allen Klein & Co. in the late 1950s. Today, ABKCO is one of the world's leading independent music companies.
The New Jersey-born accountant's rise to fame began with Cooke, who he helped land an unprecedentedly lucrative recording deal in 1963. He then moved on to the Rolling Stones -- and, when their relationship ended, he walked away with the rights to some of the band's classic hits like "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" and "Jumpin' Jack Flash." He also represented the Beatles during the tumultuous months before their 1970 breakup.
Along the way, he earned a reputation as a dogged businessman with a take-no-prisoners negotiating style.
Klein is survived by his longtime girlfriend Iris Keitel, an ABKCO executive, and three adult children.

If this really is from an official press release, why is it not on the UMG web site? In fact, the only referrences to this press release to be found all come from various message boards.

Probably because it's a holiday weekend and their web guys are at the beach.

Regardless, the New York Times has it.

    LOL!

Methinks the Stones themselves sang about record company promotion men like that way back in 1965...

I hope this will eventually lead to a definitive live CD/DVD release of the Stones 72/73 tours. It's a good day to be a Rolling Stones fan.
