Ok. I'm attacking the character that she plays in that commercial, I don't know her at all. She could be an absolute doll in real life, she is "ACTING". The weird look and goofiness portrayed is what drives me crazy.

For those that are into that sort of woman, and it seems to go 50-50 in this thread, more power to you. To each his reach. I'm never offended by someone not agreeing with my opinion because that's exactly what it is, MY opinion.

I think she's cute and endearing. I can picture her as a member of one of those all female or multi-gender bands from the 90's, like Belly, Throwing Muses, Luscious Jackson, etc.

ah, it's not so bad... i can think of worse people to be compared to

it's now been 3 people at work who have told me this... i, personally, don't see it, but i guess when i wear red lipstick i might remind people, and i wear black eyeliner across my upper lids, only not as thick or exaggerated as "Flo's"... i really don't see it that much... i'm also cheerful and chipper most of the time when i work cuz i have fun, so maybe that helps, who knows

as i said, it could be worse

WOW!! I can't believe that is the same woman. Really shows you that you can't believe your own eyes sometimes. Amazing difference.

I'll bet you're hot!:) Anyway, I never went for the over-the-top make-up. Too phony. I like that more natural look. A little dap'll do ya!:D

Ah, yes I see she did play the Marge character. But the image you posted was the Joan Holloway character, not Marge.

Here she is playing Marge (with glasses): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iFFqwC2BrU

I think she's pretty good in the Progressive commercials :agree:

oh well, she is listed in the Mad Men cast as Marge and that came up in an image search. So someone got the names wrong in the images. I've never seen the show so I don't know.

Now, that's just not right. Had me believing in miracles and everything. Her getup in that show ain't doin' her no justice either. :sigh:

Hey, don't disparage Christina Hendricks by comparing her to Flo!

I hope nobody in this thread actually bought that as the same woman.

Maybe just a TV series that lasts all of three episodes, but the writers will have to "straighten up" that couple with the watch.

"dab"... and i'm gonna assume you're referring to Flo's over-the-top makeup and not mine :D

I am watching a rerun episode of "Without A Trace" titled "American Goddess". Stephanie Courtney played a contestant (the before version, with Shanon Elizabeth playing the after version) on a TV makeover show who went missing....and she's very good in a dramatic role. She looks nothing like Flo nor her real self in this guest role.

Interestingly, this particular episode was directed by Tony Goldwyn (the bad guy from the movie "Ghost" and grandson of Samuel Goldwyn)

She reminds me of a woman I know.

Similar looks and personality. Kinda funny.

    And Jill Wagner.... :love::love:

  23. Just noticed the "Marge" photos. She has a rockin' body. I could go to the other side for her or Jennifer Tilly.

I would be curious to hear the ad agency's pitch about "Flo". They sold the idea to Progressive.

I think she does a good job of making an impression about the product, and that is what she is supposed to do.
