Anyone else get a strong feeling of nostalgia when this thread was bumped and you saw the first post on this page?
I got a copy of this the other day and have just listened to it. Great to hear it again. Whenever I hear a good mastering like this I'm always amazed at how fantastic my stereo can sound. Now I'm off to listen to the copy of Beach Boys Lost and Found on DCC that I got at the same sale.
When I saw the prices, my immediate thought was "is it OOP?". I have a copy of Deja Vu with the SRC matrix. My only other early CSN CD is Allies. I'm fairly sure my local shop might have some early CSN CDs, but I don't fancy their prices.
I especially like "Helplessly Hoping" and "Ohio" on this disc, the sound on these 2 tracks is just breathtaking. Even though I like the regular albums and the 1974 live album as well, this compilation is just perfect when I'm in the mood for some CSN(Y).
No, I was referring only to sound quality. It's the regular single that appears on many compilations.
RIP David. Stills and Nash must be feeling his loss, despite their differences over the years. We should play So Far (and his other work) to celebrate his talent.
When one does find an original on wax, it's often not in excellent shape. So many copies were sold AND brutally listened to. The cd makes sense for newbies.
