I wonder if those work for blu-ray discs.

I wonder what Borders considers a box set. Probably varies by store and is YMMV.

I would assume anything that includes more than one disc would be a "boxset".

i am interested in getting a dvd box set of the bbc "I, Claudius". so when i got the coupon email from borders i went to their site and checked the price. 69.99, so with the 40% off = 41.99.

i went to amazon just for the heck of it to check, and it is on sale (and right now) for something like $33. i looked at a handful of other dvd boxes and they were all priced similarly. never checked if the music boxes were also.

Worked well for me. I picked up Season 9 of Seinfeld for $31.79 with tax. Got the last copy they had. :)

Yeah. Borders is so overpriced that these otherwise fabulous coupons are rendered useless by Amazon (whose prices tend to be 20-40% lower than borders). Although, I did pick up the Back to the Future trilogy for $15 (again, would have been cheaper on Amazon). Anywho...

Well Amazon has the new Stanley Kubrick Box Set for $69.99. I got it at Borders with that coupon for $47.99. That's a huge difference.

That's what I actually went in for, but (surprise, surprise), they didn't have it in stock. Oh, well. Maybe next time. Good on you.

For $10.99, might be best to look for imports or Raven titles.

    Any suggestions?

Last time this coupon came out, I got a DCC gold and a MOFI with mine! Only regret I couldn't find a nice SACD that day...maybe this time I'll try the Classical section...! :D

BEAR FAMILY single CDs would be a good deal with the $10.99 coupon.

Are Borders stores still receiving MFSL gold discs as part of their regular inventory? We had a Borders open here a few months ago, and I have yet to see an MFSL gold disc. The computer search kiosks show that they can order them, but they never stock them. I'm wondering if some of you are finding old stock.

With the way Borders has scaled back its music section, I wonder if they have dropped the MFSL discs.

I don't know if Borders has dropped MFSL discs from their inventory, but many Borders have been low in CD stock with all of these sales going on over the last month or so. I'm not finding much there I want anymore... much less a bargain. the stores I frequent don't seem to be replenishing their stock.

Is the current coupon good on MFSL discs?

Yes. On the last sale utilizing 40% off on single discs, I acquired several MoFi and SACD titles. Coupon was acceptable on import discs too... they only have to be "single" discs. That being said, I have not seen an MFSL disc there in many many weeks. Good luck.

I'll head over to Borders tomorrow night and try to find some bargains. The problem is that a lot of the stuff I want is back-catalog stuff that's $11.99 to begin with. So I don't save much with the coupon. I'll have to look for some expensive discs. :)

I got the MFSL Yes Fragile today, along with a Talking Heads dualdisc and Byrne/Eno's My Life In The Bush of Ghosts remaster. How'd I do? :D

(last time this coupon went out, I picked up Lennon's Mind Games on MFSL, and Steve's job on The Doobie's Minute By Minute)
