BMG did carry the Miles Davis Prestige box set years ago. Maybe it will be remastered.

What are some other good boxsets to get? Are there any other really good Motown ones to get?

Just trying real hard not to click the button. Gotta save some money.

Seth, order a Bill Monroe comp and yes, they do have the boxed set of Bill, but if you want only a decent hits comp, go for "Anthology."

Don't forget the 8-cd Atlantic R&B box, at under $40 the cheapest I've ever seen it (unless a copy was missing some discs.)

I'd recommend the Nina Simone 4 CD box "Four Women" for $20. This includes all her Philips era recordings, and there's enough brilliance on the box to fully justify its purchase. (I personally think the Colpix years were her the most consistently excellent, but this is still well worth owning).

Yeah, at $5/CD, just about every box set is great.

I'm thinking of getting the Led Zep complete set.

They only charge $5.99/$4.99 for the "subscription" fee, so even 2 cd sets can't be added to the queue. It would make more sense to simply charge the price of the set instead of the subscription fee. Either way, you can always order the sets through the cart.

Has anyone had trouble switching their subscription from $5.99/disc to $4.99/disc? I started at $5.99 before the $4.99 offer was available. I canceled the $5.99 subscription and used the link provided here to start a $4.99 subscription with a different e-mail address. Once I completed the enrollment for the $4.99 subscription, I tried to add discs to my queue. However, the offer shown was $5.99/disc. I logged out and logged in again with the new e-mail address and again saw the offer as $5.99/disc.

To get the $4.99 offer, do you have to use a new address and credit card in addition to a new e-mail address? For the moment, I have no account. I'll start a new $5.99 subscription if I have to, but I'd like to get the $4.99 deal.

Duh. I can't believe I didn't think of that. Thanks. That worked...eventually. I deleted cookies, Temporary Internet Files, etc., but when I opened up a new IE window and clicked on the $4.99 link, the page said "Hello, Keith." So, I had to log out of a previous account, which I had already cancelled. Then I started a new account with a third e-mail address on the $4.99 page, and that worked. I now see the $4.99 offer. A lot of work to save a buck per disc, but it will add up in the long run.

Canceling and logging out of a previous account and then starting a new one did not work before I had deleted Temporary Internet Files, etc. Before deleting Temporary Internet Files, I canceled one account, started a new one on the $4.99 page, and then saw the $5.99 offer with the new account.

It looks like they will be shipping me the Marvin Gaye SACD this week! :D

    Thanks, kayaker! :)

I just joined up, even though I belong to BMG's old music club. I picked up the Miles Davis SEVEN STEPS TO HEAVEN BOX, and put the new Joss Stone and Paul Westerberg in my queue.

That's what I thought. However, they allowed me to put the Bowie 2-disc 30th Anniversary set in my queue. The Bowie 2-disc 30th Anniversary set is priced at 4.99. All the other two disc sets I see there is 9.98. Oh well...I'll take it! :p
