I'm sure the Abbey Road team are rolling their eyes over the comments on this thread.

It would suck if I bought these, and then the mono's come out a year or so later.

The Record Store Day singles are probably the best preview we have for these lp's. I don't have them, so I wouldn't know how they sound.

I suppose Help! and Rubber Soul are going to be the '87 digital mixes.

    Please tell me I'm wrong.

Not unless it's an original red wax first issue from the 60's in top notch shape complete with obi.

So this is what the Acoustic Sounds blurb says:

Lads and lassies, it's another British invasion! The Beatles — on vinyl! Meticulously remastered!

To say that the Fab Four's recorded legacy is overdue for a major vinyl sonic overhaul is an understatement! Fans have waited decades for remastered, upgraded LP versions of the Beatles' blue-chip catalog. Now they're coming, for real! This project has been years in the making with multiple hold-ups due to the meticulousness of all involved.

Shipping starting Nov. 13th, The Beatles Stereo Box Set will feature a limited edition collection of 16 remastered LPs and an exclusive booklet. The 14 titles (two are double LPs) will also be available individually.

Each is sourced from the original master tapes. Each title was then copied into 24-bit/192 Khz files and then cut to lacquer at Abby Road Studios. It was a painstaking process with maximum attention paid to every detail!

Here at last is the classic rock catalog of dreams. Ah, but dreams can be fleeting things — don't risk these remastered Beatles' LPs selling out. They will! The Beatles remastered on vinyl is too good to miss. Call us today to hold your set!

Not only did AS say that but so did every other retailer when the remastered CD's came out--"Get 'em while you can" or words to that affect.

Would you believe that the initial pressing will be way superior to the possible later ones?

No I don't; for the same reason as this: I order Hard Days night & within miliseconds you do too -- both from AS & both have the same matrix information. Is my copy #25 off the press & yours #1,875 -- who knows. No one. Even if the copies were serialized with #25 and the other with #1,875, does that really mean one copy was stamped 1,850 copies apart? Nope.

There is no relationship to a serialized number and when it was stamped.

But he's asking about possible later pressings, not copies sold from the same press run.

Pardon me:rolleyes:............I thought I addressed properly in my way.

I'm not concerned about that neither as long as it was at the same plant/same pressing gear, process, etc.

Why didnt they use the 30 ips ANALOG Masters to cut these vinyl albums?? Thats the exact application you would use them for.
