    Michael I LOVE WIDE S-T-E-R-E-O!

I'll bet they never will release the "American LPs" on any CD format.

Oh, really? And I've been searching high & low for original UK cd's pressed by Toshiba-EMI Japan. Only found Rock n' Roll so far, although I don't have a later CD pressing to compare it to.

David, can you confirm all of the the originally no "no noised" studio albums are like this on CD Maximum (Imagine, Mind Games, Walls & Bridges, RnR)? (Unfortunately no Shaved Fish on CD Maximum that I know of). With CD Maximum, you never know, some might be, some might not.

I saw "Double Fantasy" on MFSL for sale, very high price.
How much is okay to pay for that one?

Most of the American LPs hit CD many years ago - 2 and 3 years after the creation of this thread. It was only a few stragglers that waited until 2014.

My belief? We're never going to get MFSL or AF versions of the Beatles albums. I just don't think it's worth it for Apple to bother...

I agree that we probably won't ever see an MFSL version, but the remixing project that comes up from time to time sounds promising.. I think that could be the ultimate set

    Quote from Mr. Gregg Schnitzer
    _________
It was, and still is, considered a bad business practice for the copyright
holders to allow rights for formats that do not yet exist. This haunted us
on the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Neither of these artists had their
works mastered by us for the CD format. I often see Beatles CD collections
on ebay claiming to be MFSL. Baloney. Period.

The one i looked at was around 300 dollars.
Then there were some around 50-100 dollars.
Is the first seller just crazy?

Crazy, no. Its a buyers market. Again all subjective to individules needs. 30/50 bucks sounds about right. But what do I know. :)

Whats the difference with older MFSL CDs and later Ultra Disc II Gain ones ?

Wikipedia: "Prior to the release of Queen's A Night at the Opera (1975) in October 1992, each Ultradisc release was manufactured in Japan. From that point, discs were manufactured in the US and given the "Ultradisc II" designation. Many of the early Ultradisc titles were re-pressed in the US as Ultradisc II".
