Audio Technica 440MLa review

    Does anyone have a good recommendation for another cart under $500 that tracks as well but that is a bit more neutral sounding? I am getting a second table and want something close to the AT but just a tad less bright, though I am ultimately fine with it. how about the model up from the 40? Don't mean to hijack the posters thread but he probably is looking for the same advice.

    He might've been back in 2006! Seriously, some of the Goldring 2000-series get a good write up. I also found their 1012GX very good some years ago. The 1024 & 1042 models apparently even better (that view from Noel Keywood at Hi Fi World in the UK).

    Check out the Nagaoka MP-300 and the Ortofon 2M Bronze. If you like neutral, the Orofon s/b up your alley.
