210 is the last Platinum membership number; 211 is the first 24k Gold membership which therockman has


WHAT YOU GET WITH THE PLATINUM MEMBERSHIP:

* You pick your special edition number within the numbers of 11 - 210

 

Subscribers can choose their own number. Somebody could choose 212 (last number) and there could be 100 subscriptions below that number that are not sold.

Pretty neat, I think. Already at least 80 forum members are subscribers for the gold CD's. Chances are that there are more but that some people don't want their number to be "public".

If these are indeed limited pressings (like 5,000 or 7,500 for some titles), these could sell out within a relatively short period of time. A subscription is a good way to ensure you get all the titles. If a certain title is really popular, it is possible that certain online dealers only get a very limited supply and nothing more. I guess we'll have to see.

Aw, screw it....list me at #96, that's my number...picked it myself when 67 and 69 were taken.

I'm not sure why I was keeping it a secret.... so there was no reason to continue to do so.

Looks like as many as half of the Platinum subscriptions may have been sold so far, and roughly half of those are Forums members? (I counted about 50 who have claimed numbers in the 11-210 range.)

Not bad for a couple of weeks into the program. Perhaps in the near future they'll announce a new batch of even more enticing titles, and the remaining Platinum subscriptions will get snapped up pretty quickly? I guess we'll see how things go. . .
