Amazon had insane prices on many boxsets*

I don't think they are mistakes, either. For example, the Jersey Beat - 4 Seasons box set is only a little less expensive than it was a couple of weeks ago as a Lightning Deal (that I was mad I missed at the time!). The Doors Perception box isn't that much less expensive than Barnes & Nobles sold it for a few months ago. Every once in a while, deals like this do happen. Now if every box set was suddenly displaying a radically low price (like what happed at bmgmusic.com a couple of years ago), then I'd suspect a programming error. But this seems far too deliberate to attribute to a mistake on some employee's part.

bummer, they must've changed the price on the Plant box. On the menu it's still listed at 13.97, but when you add it to cart it's 99.98

 

Fun is over...Perception back to $72, Floyd at $216. Hope they honor the low prices.

Jesus Christ, when I woke up this morning, the last thing I ever would have dreamed that I would do today would have been to purchase the complete works of Pink Floyd and the entire Genesis 1970 - 1975 catalog.

I had the Doors for $13.97 and was clicking the Pink Floyd and then the prices went UP!

Gone...

 

I'm seeing $39.47 prices for each of these BB boxes on Amazon.

Prices have seem to have gone back up for some of the items.
But I did get Amazon's confirmation email for the two boxes I purchased so hope they are honored.
I'll be checking back next Friday AM (or daily) to see if Amazon quietly does this again.

 

Well I'm off to Best Buy to pick up my hard drives. It will be interesting to see if I get my auto confirmations from Amazon when I get back.

Btw, I love Amazon. It's no wonder they are kicking *** in this economy when most retailers are in the toilet.

 

Amazon sent me an e-mail confirming my order of the complete Floyd Box and the Genesis 1970-1975 box for $37 total with free shipping. We'll see if it actually shows up.

Well I did ok, got Miles Davis, Wes Montgomery and The Doors, but missed The Motown and the Floyd, I should read the forum more/quicker.

 

Haha, I was at a record store when I went to check the forum on my phone to look something up. Saw this thread and immediately went to Amazon's mobile site and ordered a copy of the Pink Floyd set.

I had a copy of it a few months ago, but sold it because I needed some extra cash. Glad I could get a replacement for a reasonable price

Wow...I must have just squeeked in at the low price. I had added it to my cart while reading the first part of this thread, and then when I saw your post about it's price going up...I closed the deal and still got it for $13.97. We'll see if I actually get it for that price.
