The original CD isn't really that bad in the scheme of things, but when compared to the AF I'm definitely hearing more bass and some additional clarity at various points.

I do agree that some songs sound better than others on this disc due to production choices.

I like that sound a lot, what strikes me most is the powerful bass and guitar tone, but the riffs come over very nice and gentle - that's unique I guess - the arrangements on the long last track are fantastic - okay the original WG CD sounds excellent, too and i have not a/b ed them - but i like what i hear - not that typical bloated fake sounding audiophile Stevie Wonder or DSOTM copy - just like the real thing and def. not compressesd
I played it really loud and that was a pleasure not painful.
Thanx Steve for blessing us with ths gem !

How true, although I must say the title track seemed, well, different. Almost as if it was a different mix. The rest of the album, however, blew me away.

Listened to it for a while last night.

The title song struck me with very piercing guitars, almost painful at times. Alice's voice in some spots, too.

I changed from my Alessandro MS-1 to my ER-4P headphones, and while it was a bit better then, some sounds/instruments were still very harsh/sibilant. Anyone else experiencing this?

Sounds pretty good to me, the bass is nicely defined. I'm more looking forward to Killer though.

#43 with black panties finally arrived 13 days after the start of the subscriptions when others have already received theirs from other vendors. I hope THAT improves with the next offerings.

I hadn't heard the original W2 2623 through my latest speakers and I was caught off guard by the sound, much better than I had remembered. I next put on the AF CD and it was quite a bit better. Like others, I heard a good separation of instruments and a better low end. The vinyl has been long gone but this was like getting back together with an old friends as opposed to hearing them over the phone. Looking forward to a killer version of Killer. :righton:

I compared Heartbeat City against DCC's Greatest Hits package and School's
Out against the tracks on Alice Cooper's Life & Crimes box set. No
question... the new remaster smokes the older remasters. I never heard such
a clarity and easy flow over my speakers... without fatiguing. I really was
impressed, but I did not expect this difference... although the album is not
    a hi fidelity recording.

Never was a recording to write home about, but I think Steve has done a wonderful job with what was there. Sound quality does seem to vary a bit song to song.
    Look forward to more.

I think the AF Gold "Schools Out" sounds great ! I am anxiously awaiting "KILLER" to get the same treatment now too.

If they're white, I guess the discs weren't THAT good then.

Drawing a conclusion on sound quality of an audiophile CD by listening it on PC is a joke, man.
