Tacos, burgers, masters. Life sucks. :)

And the day Steve said he could forget about using HDCD, I thought, "thank gawd!!"

On my knees, I implore the industry gods to give us a QRP vinyl version?
    Pretty please?
AF did the Riot "Fire down Under" on QRP, can you give us this one on vinyl too?

That seemed to be an epidemic in the '80s, especially among hard rock and metal albums. Ever heard King Diamond's "Them"? That is perhaps the worst example of how so many metal albums of that time favored a tinny sound over anything even remotely lifelike.

We redid the album today, it's been approved and will be on the way to the manufacturing plant.

    Done!

Sounds good...What sort of tweaking did you do after the first pass?

Question: did you start over from scratch and re-do the work you already did, or did you start with your new master and tweak from there?

I wonder if the ringing you hear is coming from Vinny Appice's ride cymbal; I hear a very high pitch ring from that cymbal on most of the Dio material from this era. Appice was using a ping ride that must have been mic'd pretty intensely. That's my take on it anyway; not sure if that's what you hear.
REALLY looking frwd to the AF.

Great photos Steve and apologies if this is already covered off but I'm rushing around just now to get out - are those KRK VXT active monitors you've got to the rear in one of the photos? Can I ask why that brand in particular?

Someone from marketing might want to let Elusive Disc know it won't be an HDCD release. Could cause some returns of an otherwise highly anticipated release.

Evidently I'm way behind the power curve. Been on vacation too long I guess. I now find myself hungry for burgers and a copy of this metal classic.
