I'm curious about your monitoring set-up. Does the "mastering desk" (??) sitting between listener's ears and speakers impact the sound? Which pair of speakers were you listening to and is the pre/power amp tube or ss? Thanks!

Yeah I'm def. picking this up also. I never had Holy Diver on CD, so this will probably be the one and only copy i'll ever need.

    Thanks, Steve and AF!

Awesome. I hope AF does "The Last In Line" which is a total sister album to this and every bit as good.

Any estimate on release date? i.e. on average in the past how long does it take from the mastering date to the release date?

Are we talking February? July? Other?

I can not wait to pick this up!

looks very interesting, it seems just like yesterday i saw Dio rock seattle with heaven & hill, late 2009. ill never forget it as long as i live, he was incredible. and he is so nice. everybody watch this video. there was this little boy like on his dads shoulders, dio took his record and signed it for him, then passed it around to all the other members and had them all sign it for the little boy.

    Great pics...

by the the way the dragons on the ceiling looks like Dio ;-)

  16. I expect this will be a great seller. I will certainly contribute with a few copies...

  17. By the way, the cover art for the CD which is shown on the AF website has the top left "triangle" with red background and gold text instead of the gold background and black text. Is there a special reason for that?

Thanks Steve, I am really looking forward to this release. I just posted your comments on yesterday's mastering on the Metal-Rules Facebook page to inform our readers and fans out there about it (Also posted the link to the AF page for it last week). I hope you don't mind? As others have said, let us hope it sells well and more Metal will follow.
    Cheers

AF should do more Heavy Metal/Hard Rock... since all other audiophile labels ignore Metal

I think they just changed it up, Roland. Would be nice if they did that with all new "metal" releases, though.

Wow! That's an impressive turn time! Great news though! Sooner the better. This will be a hot seller.

Considering Wendy Dio provided source material I hope the word will help get out about this release on the Dio Website, Facebook page, and Twitter account.

  25. Really great pics, thanks for sharing!
