Anyone know how many AF Dio Holy Diver CDs were made?

sorry for resurrection this thread, but while i normally listen on speakers, i listened to this album on headphones recently and i noticed some clearly noticeable distortion on Rainbow in the dark.

    anyone else noticed this ?

I notice some just after the guitar solo just before it goes back to the main verse. It's in every version I've ever heard.

Dio was eating a sandwich and dropped some mustard on the mic. It happens.

Did such a great job on this. Dramatically better than all previous versions I've heard. Essential.

Now when do we get Rainbow Rising (which badly needs the same treatment). :)

    Both Dio AFs are amazing.

Get them before they start selling for $100 plus.

Is there any chance that we will ever see vinyl or higher resolution digital versions of these? I'd love to have nice QRP vinyl pressings of these SH remasters. Or SACD.

Dio's entire catalog deserves better sonic presentation. I'm particularly fond of his period with Tracy G on guitar (the Angry Machines and Strange Highways albums).

Vinyl would have to be a different mastering, and anyway the license probably doesn't extend past the original 2500-5000 pressed CD copies.
AF would have to license the titles again from the labels/artists, which won't happen anytime soon, so don't hold your breath.
