They look cool, especially the Highway to Hell and Back in Black alternate releases, but there's no way I'm pre-ordering these, even as huge of an AC/DC fan I am, without info on year/mix/mastering/production/etc.
Yes, and also have that Maxicut copy with the blue and yellow label. That’s why I wondered - haven’t found out much beyond that. It’s my favorite album of theirs - have the UK, US and Oz. All are wonderful cuts with different strengths.
Just got my HMV black and white swirl effect type thing. It’s actually black with a white circle around the label
Yep....2003 but whatever. Find a nice OG and be done with it. Even a gray label Atco Let There Be Rock has a little analog mojo. It's nothing special, but glad I nabbed it for $15.
I always like to look at the Discogs new releases on Friday. Today some have posted pics of their 50th anniversary copies. Looks like one side has a label that shows songs from both sides and the other side has the 50th anniversary logo. You also get an insert the size of a sleeve with Angus on it.
I was hoping they'd include Stiff Upper Lip and Black Ice in these 50th anniversary editions as I don't have them on vinyl yet.
I wonder if I have confused myself with "the first nine titles of our entire catalog" in the release. Because it's not chronological, it's just maybe the first batch?
Thanks. Yeah I saw those when they first popped up. Made me wonder now if this is phase 1 and on down the line they have a batch with (for example) Let There Be Rock, Fly on the Wall, Ballbreaker and so forth.
Yeah! Sometimes it's cheaper with shipping from another country than Canada. We are so f... There's never any deal here to.
I've purchased two so far, Back in Black and Powerage. The latter plays perfectly, sounds quite good. The former is full of loud surface noise from start to finish despite a good cleaning. A friend has Highway and says it's full of surface noise as well. Anyone else had a chance to spin any of these yet?
