    W. Germany first pressing. I have the identicle disc. Secret for you though... All the original pressings are identicle globally including the W. Germany Atlantic Gold CD.

    Yes there is a W. German Target version.

    They were interesting visually. Many of them were made using a different looking style of label (with the same digital master).

    Collectable only between collectors.

    Mastering that is well done on the majority of these. ie. no NR, hyper-compression to gain volume etc.

    I can only think of "no reserve" and I'm pretty sure that isn't it

    NR = Noise Reduction (Dolby, Sonic Solutions etc.)

    That disc could be a later West German pressing that was released in Europe after the target went out of print. In other words, it's release could have coincided with U.S. non-target pressings.

    Dave, In reference to that Prince target disc you linked to... do you have knowledge of that particular disc? If so, do you recommend it? I was looking to stock up on some Prince CD's and wondering if this target CD sounds good or not. The Ebay price is right - so far.
