Songs with the name Sarah (or Sara) in them...*

I'd like to compile a list of tunes for a girl I like. I went the corny but cool route and decided it should be songs with her name in them.

I've got "Sarah Smile" by Hall & Oats and "Sara" by Fleetwood Mac.
What else is there?

I know these are just nicknames for Sara(h), but that was my aunt's name, and I used to hear people singing these songs at her. We called her Sal or Sally, but Sarah was her name.

"Sara" by Starship.

Prince has a song called "Sarah" on The Vault and Genesis has "Me and Sarah Jane" on Abacab.

 

I think I dated the quintessential Sarah when I moved out here. We're good friends, but she just about disliked every song about a Sarah.

She cracked me up when we started dating... "It's Sarah with an H. The FULL Sarah, not the abbreviated Diet Coke Sara."

Sarah's are a HUGE handful, btw. And I don't mean maybe. Good luck, buddy!

DESIRE is such an underrated album. It's one of my favorites, maybe my favorite after BOTT. Anyway, is this for your girl, Dave?

 

"Las Vegas Turnaround" from Hall & Oates' Abandonned Luncheonette CD. The first line is, "sarah's off on a turnaround, flying gambling fools to the holy land Las Vegas."

 

About a little girl, isn't it? I forget.

 

"Lost In Emotion" by Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam. She sings "que sera sera" but pronounces it ""ka sara, ka sara." ... oops oops, sorry sorry.
