As you may know, I was a victim of the fake Abbey Road Black Triangle scam on eBay a few months ago. I was finally able to get money back and took a chance at aquiring another copy and I scored big. The seller mentioned that the CD was buffed, so I think his comment may have scared some buyers away. Anyway, I received the CD today and it looks great. If it was buffed, I can't tell. The CD looks new and it is the real deal this time! :goodie:

Not for THAT one, it's not. Even if he changed his mind, he could likely sell it tomorrow and make a profit...

    I agree - great price.

Of course that opinion is subjective - UPS is currently delivering the DCC Ram to me from Tom Ports site for $39.99 - without cover or booklet or any "paper" at all. I haven't been able to find a similar priced version of that title for years. Since I am not a collector (*cough* cough* - at least not a re-seller), that price worked fine for me.

Congrats, Jorge. Great price, and I know you'll enjoy the disc. I paid 35.00 for mine in early 1984.

I got mine in the summer of 1985 and think it cost me $18, which seemed like a lot! I remember I special ordered it and the guys at the store were shocked it actually came in. I was 18 - I had no idea it was rare. When I came to pick it up, they all kept saying, "Can you believe you got an 'Abbey Road'?!" and I thought, "Why wouldn't I get one?" I also thought "I sure better have a copy waiting since I came into town for this!:)

    Is the Pope Catholic? :D

Sorry, couldn't resist that one. This beats the pants off the official 1987 EMI release as no noise reduction was used and the music shines, shimmers, and sparkles. Subject to one's own opinion, of course, but most folks here will agree. :agree:

    Hi Jorge,

    Nice snag on that one!

Beatle Terr talked me into getting this cd on ebay a couple years ago. I was a little skeptical because I couldn't imagine it sounding much better than the US version - especially for the outrageous price of $46!

Anyway, I like it a LOT better than the US version. To me, the overall sound is much better balanced. The US version is bass heavy. And after a while, it is irritating to listen to. I can play the Japanese version over and over.

    Somebody else?

    Jorge > enjoy.
