    I'd heard of the laser turntables before, but not the fiber optic. Interesting indeed!

    They were also developing a vinyl-scanner. The playback was downright WACKY! :eek:

    I used to make things out of old, beat-up records till I heard about the Laser Turntable. Now, I'm very selective about what LP's I condem to glue and polyprolene.

    I agree, the playback certanly not great. However, if you have a disc (or cylinder) that is broken, it can be played, which is a nice perk!

    I read where those laser turntables cannot play any record that is pressed on transparent colored vinyl.
