AF Crosby, Stills & Nash, CS&N available for pre-order. Due 11/15

Thought I'd open a thread as I see this is now available to pre-order on Amazon.

Amazon has it listed as SACD which i'd assume isn't correct, but has Audio Fidelity as the label.

 

I was looking to pre-order this on Amazon the other day but it wasn't listed yet.Cool! Thanks

 

Just the sound of those pre-war vintage Martin guitars from the original analogue tapes is worth the price alone.

Wow, I was not aware this is a non-hybrid SACD.

 

It's not an SACD. Amazon has it listed incorrectly.

 

Somebody should tell them that. Might help sales...

How in the workd does Amazon manage to get these things wrong?

Anyway, I have a feeling that this is one of those CDs that if you don't pre-order, there may not be enough to go around. I just want to wait to see if the price drops a bit before I order.

 

This was my feeling as well. Since I can't check daily every online retailer, the $20.31 (+ shipping to Italy) Amazon price looks good to me

 

And added the 2CD Aqualung - lots of good music to check out!

The same scenario may happen that happened with the Fleetwood Mac record and another CD I can't think of right now, that there will be a pre-order frenzy, the item will be back-ordered, there will be confusuion with retailers over availability, customers will bitch about there not being enough, they will bash AF, collectors will worry about the resale value if there are second runs...we have seen this before, and it will happen again.

Yes, I may have an active imagination, but I am worried that this will be a wildly popular release and there may be a shortage.

Actually, the prices on AF titles usually go down before release day. Either way, you're covered, since Amazon has the low price guarantee.

Feeling the way I do about Amazon is akin to loving a family member that's just plain goofy. You know he's going to embarass you in public, you know whatever comes out of his mouth is bound to be 85% wrong, but you also know he'll come through for you, if you need him...and if there's a glitch, he'll do whatever he has to, to make it right by you.
Amazon... the not-too-bright cousin that makes you smile.

Pre order placed. Can't wait to see the product page slowly become corrected, the description altered to tell the actual facts, and a nice picture of the gold disc, just like Elusive Disc has.

28 titles, many of them just a year old or so, are already out of stock/print. That's a warning to pick these babies up when you can. I still see many of them new in some stores.

 

Just ordered it. I'm sure it is the right one, but if not the order can easily be canceled. If you really want this I would grab it. This is one I am not waiting on to see if my local bricks and mortar gets in stock.
