Who is your favorite female singer of the 70's?

Not every female who made a hit in the 70's or released a record is in this poll.

This poll is comprised of the female artists who maintained popularity throughout a good portion of the 70's. These were the best known of the decade chosen from various genres of music.

    Which one is your favorite?

this poll was revised to include Joni Mitchell as she was erroneously omitted in the original thread. She was too important and popular in the 70's to not have in this poll.

It's not multiple choice. I cannot vote.

It's a crying shame this poll has only one option. Huge fan of most ladies on this poll. Karen, Cher, Rita, Linda etc. But if I have to choose one it's of course Olivia.

    Thanks Rick!

My pick was Joni Mitchell. She matured during the 70s and arguably hit her peak during the early to mid part of the decade. Favorite Female singer, one of my favorite artists, period.

Nice to see Gladys Knight on the list.

Of the poll choices, Karen Carpenter. I would've picked Agnetha Fältskog had she been listed.

I'm surprised Joni Mitchell has so many votes. She is a rather plain singer (imo).
I can enjoy her too, but I like a little more "soul"...

Tough pick between Carly and Karen for me....

  25. Joni Mitchell easily gets my vote & is deservedly winning in a landslide.
The only other person who would have come close to her, for me, it Patti Smith.
The closest one on this poll would be Carole King.
