For those jumping into this thread without having seen the last one, it is strongly rumored that Paul and Concord will be releasing remasters of McCartney and McCartney II on June 6/7. The bonus discs for each are said to contain:

    McCartney - Disc 2
    1. Suicide [Out-Take] 2:46
    2. Maybe I'm Amazed [From One Hand Clapping] 4:51
    3. Every Night [Live At Glasgow, 1979] 4:30
    4. Hot As Sun [Live At Glasgow,1979] 2:26
    5. Maybe I'm Amazed [Live At Glasgow, 1979] 5:10
    6. Don't Cry Baby [Out-Take] 3:06
    7. Women Kind [Demo] [Mono] 2:05

    McCartney II - Disc 2
    1. Blue Sway [With Richard Niles Orchestration] 4:33
    2. Coming Up [Live At Glasgow, 1979] 4:09
    3. Check My Machine [Edit] 5:50
    4. Bogey Wobble 2:59
    5. Secret Friend [Full Length Version] 10:30
    6. Mr H Atom / You Know I'll Get You Baby 5:55
    7. Wonderful Christmastime [Edited Version] 3:47
    8. All You Horse Riders / Blue Sway 10:10

Remasters of Ram and Venus And Mars are rumored to be next, coming this fall. It has also been speculated that Paul will release a "McCartney III" album in September, in conjunction with the premiere of the ballet he worked on.

In addition to the CD reissues, it is rumored that McCartney's Cloud project with HP will be launched in June at the HP convention in Las Vegas. The cloud project should provide a great medium for Paul to share archived videos and unreleased audio tracks with the fans. However as of now, this is all pure speculation and no announcements have been made about cloud content and accessibility.

Also, the deluxe McCartney II will come with a third disc, the contents of which are currently unknown (as are the contents of the DVD for both McCartney and McCartney II).

  5. No official track lists have yet been released, so its a bit early for people to get themselves into bunch regarding what will or will not appear on the sets. In the last thread, people were bemoaning that the rumored track list did not match the information posted earlier by etcetera. Keep in mind that ALL track lists we've seen so far--whether the ones people are in a stitch about or the ones etcetera posted--are just RUMORS until something official is posted.

The only thing we really know is the preliminary pricing on Amazon.

The addition of track times on the Allmusic website would seem to inch these newest track lists towards legitimacy:

I LOVE the Wings at Glasgow songs, but REALLY wish they were released as a stand alone project instead of piecemeal throughout the archive collection. That entire show on DVD/CD would make this long time Macca fanatic's dream come true.

Wouldn't be surprised if that's released at the very end, after we end up with Almost all tracks from the show anyway, spread out across every release knowing most people will buy it for that one track/video. Oh to be a McCartney fan!

Does the US CD of Wingspan contain the live version of Coming Up? Because the European version features the regular studio version. :(

Yes, it does. But it's edited a bit from what was on the original single (the extended audience outro isn't there).

Can someone explain this a bit more? How did Paul get aligned with HP?

Dear Friend will be kept for Wild Life i would think.

    I always thought Another Day/Oh Woman,Oh Why
..fit better to the first album, even though they were recorded later.

I stll don't understand why these official releases are listed like this seeing how the complete versions were never released so the world wouldn't know they were edited versions or not. It would be like sticking the 'edit' tag onto the album version of "Coming Up" and a few of the other songs as well. Maybe the complete versions will be found on disc 3 which would justify the distinction on disc 2?

With only 6 more weeks to go we should see the press trelease soon as that was around the time when Concord finally released the info for BOTR.

I'm just having a go here, but maybe it's because we'll get different versions in the cloud, so that it seems every bonus available are now tagged.

Regarding the removal of the "crowd response" from the "Coming Up" single version - do we REALLY care? And a better question is - why did they leave it on there in the first place? Did someone just forget to fade it out? Seems superfluous to begin with.

All this including the 1979 Glasgow stuff makes me wonder what will be left for bonus tracks on BACK TO THE EGG. Live versions of the songs on Glasgow, Cage, and the Denny version of Getting Closer, and.....?

With the tracklistings being leaked for the two upcoming McCartney reissues, it seems that Paul is holding the best rarities back for the planned boxed sets. I'm thankful for that. I'd rather buy a few box sets than to have to buy all of Paul's solo albums again.

I know some people want everything. I don't. I just want the best of what's unreleased and hopefully that's what we'll be getting.
