This should be interesting; I'm somewhat surprised that the first single is a song from 2007, and not a Thriller or Bad outtake.

The title is awful but I can't wait to hear the album itself.

I hope the music is better than the cover. Can't say I can't wait to hear it actually.

Didn't he record 60 songs for Invincible or something like that? There's a vault that's gonna be trickling this stuff out for a good long time.

Yes, I think that Michael's posthumous catalog is going to rival those of Elvis, Jimi Hendrix, and Tupac.

Is it me or has Michael Jackson not got the legendary status one would have thought like Lennon, Hendrix or Elvis or is it just too soon to tell, it seems MJ was bigger Alive than Dead ??

That new front cover art doesn't look like Michael Jackson IMO

Michael Jackson has only made 2 really good albums (Off the wall, Thriller), 2 good (Bad, Dangerous) and his music was very commercial.

How many real classics had he made, 10 maybe ?

Not to put him down, he was a superstar, but artistically not as great as Lennon, Elvis en Hendrix

I think also because he was so hyped up when he is alive ie 'King Of Pop' that he cannot be hyped anymore and maybe the marketing people will find it hard to market him (the compilation History and all the marketing videos etc should have been done at the end of his career ie now!), can they big him up anymore etc?, that whole statue thing he had made, that is the kind of thing that is done when a legend has died ie Mercury, Lennon etc ?

Right. And the music of Lennon, Elvis, and Hendrix wasn't commercial.

I don't know what I'd do without the Cloud Cuckoo Land of SHtv for entertainment.

(Jackson was also a member of a band called The Jackson Five, btw, who also made several very commercial records of their own.)

Wow, that is one ugly cover. Hopefully the music isn't that bad for you fans.

I don't get it - what's wrong with the cover? It's better than any picture I've seen of him from the last 20 years.

It reminds me of a collage a 4th grader might have done in school.

I was about to post the same thing. It's devoid of any creativity and probably took about 15 minutes to put together in Photoshop.

It doesn't look like any of the 5 or so faces of Michael IMO though, or would this have been his 2010 look if he was alive today ?

I don't think the cover art is that horrible. Of course, the cover will make more sense if the "new" album contains outtakes from throughout MJ's solo career.

The cover also reminds me of the Doors' "Full Circle" album.:D

if the songs are anything like the previously unreleased tracks from the '02 Ultimate Collection, I can't wait!

I think it's odd there is a Prince symbol on the cover tho...
