Mick sends his greetings and best wishes to all of you and most especially, those who have been instrumental in keeping his spirits up !
Mick has cancelled all of his live gigs for one year to give himself the chance to play again and believe me, he is working hard at it. Mick is now suffering from a very debilitating bout of meniers disease, which is an inner ear problem and affect the balance severely . He hopes to be able to do some teaching for slide players and will focus on chord tunings and bottle neck techniques .
It will be posted up as soon as possible. Needless to say, Mick is much more positive and up beat about the future and although still a sick man , he is on the mend , slowly but surely. The new "Vintage" S G M.A. signature model guitar is now available and we thoroughly recommend that you check them out . The last word is from the man himself.

Hi folks, thank for all your thoughts, cards, and free toilet paper ! Sorry' couldn't resist the last bit !
You'll be seeing less of me soon as I am now a lot less weight than last year. I am now averaging fifteen and a half stone as opposed to the nineteen stone plus that I used to be and still , losing ! and I thought I was living a healthy lifestyle ! anyway it's helped me greatly losing the pudding but it's not the diet I would recommend !
I look forward to seeing you all soon and in top form .

I received this message from Mick this morning and he has asked me to pass it onto the members of the Jethro Tull Forum, his friends and his fans.

To all the friends and fans who have been asking about me. I had a serious heart attack followed by a mid brain stroke back in November last year. I am still in recovery and am not able to coordinate both hands to play guitar . Before I make any further moves about my future I have to get better and that will take some time. I also have a balance problem with a thing called menieres disease which between that and the after effects of the stroke has left me just about knackered ! I know that I have to be patient and get well first so Ill keep hoping toward that aim, at least I can still annoy Clive by speaking !! Please forgive him writing things about me but he has only just learned joined up writing, and the novelty hasn't worn off yet. Ya gotta love him don't ya
Love to you all and thanks for your good wishes and thoughts .

Great news folks. Mick Abrahams has very kindly agreed to do a Q & A with us so if you have any questions you'd like to put to him, either about his time in Tull or his days with Blodwyn Pig etc., post them in this thread and when we have collected a decent amount I will send them on to him, probably towards the end of August.

talked to a fellow who saw a midwest gig by the jethro tull, wasn't sure who is filling in for mick in the touring version of tull now, the guitar didn't sound quite right all night?
