Amazon had insane prices on many boxsets*

As mentioned in the Pink Floyd, "Oh, By the Way" thread, amazon has some truly unbelievable boxset prices right now. That SIXTEEN-cd box set, with LP-replica sleeves, is currently $23.97 (new).

The Doors "Perception" boxset is $13.97
Robert Plant's "Nine Lives" box is also $13.97

Though this really belongs in the (often overlooked) Marketplace forum, what are the chances we can add on some amazing other deals here to alert forum members asap?

I know someone in the Floyd thread mentioned Genesis boxes very cheap, for example...

 

Luckily there's a horrible night here; rain, wind and I declined the offer to go out with friends 'cause I do not like driving with bad weather!

I am texting right now all of my friends to tell'em if they want a copy of "Oh by the way" or "Perception"

 

Thanks, just grabbed the Pink Floyd and The Doors sets. Not much there I don't have but I couldn't afford to pass them up at that price. I think there are only a few left.

Does the Perception box set have DVD-As?

 

If someone were to tell me I'd be buying not one but two Phil Collins-era Genesis box sets today I would have thought they were crazy.

I ordered all of them but "Box of Fire" which I've owned since it came out in '94.

 

yes. just no "peephole" in the box.

 

I was hoping that the Beatles' boxes would be on sale, but no such luck.

So I got the Floyd box instead

Not that I know of. I'm still scrolling through an advanced music search of all box sets. There is a link for box sets on sale over a certain percentage, but most of these deals don't display when using that link.

 

I just bought the three mentioned, plus Aerosmith Box of Fire-also at an amazing price.

 

I can't believe the Floyd is that cheap. That is crazy.

 

Ordered Doors Perception and the Genesis 70-75 box..

 

The Jimi Hendrix purple (4 CD) box set is about $29.97 (right after I ordered it used at about 20)..

Edit: Citizen Steely Dan also for that price..

 

They have the Fantasy Creedence box not for crazy cheap, but still... around 28 bucks at the moment.

 

I never considered buying the Pink Floyd set before since I have multiple copies of all of the albums that I like (everything up to and including Animals). But, I like the mini-LP packaging and can't pass up this deal. So, I ordered a copy. Thanks for the tip!

Just picked up the two early Genesis sets as well. I see Jamie had a negative review that was removed by Amazon about the 1976-82 set, but at that price I'm more than willing to take a chance.

I'm still looking. Today is getting expensive but I love it.

 

They must just want to quickly clear some shelf space in the warehouses.
