I'm wondering if everyone here could set up an legend of different codes, symbols and other identifying marks (found in the dead wax or on the label) to indicate pressing plants, mastering studios, cutting engineers and the like.

IE: TLC = The Lacquer Channel (Toronto)
MO - Monarch (also look for the "delta" symbol and MO on the label)
"Boppin' Bob" - Bob Jones (cutting engineer)

...and so on and so forth.

This would be a great thread and a great resource, especially to newbies and music lovers that have collected for years. (I'm on the fence here...having been buying vinyl since a kid, but recently been picky about what pressings I buy, ect...)

Anyone on board?? This would be quite an exhausting list, but a great reference.
