Blast from my past/Omega Music (Dayton, Ohio)*

Today I stopped by one of the last record stores in Dayton to carry vinyl.
Half-Price books will be moving to Beavercreek at the end of August.
So this store will be the only one left.
It's called Omega Music and it's one of the first places I bought vinyl albums when I started collecting.
The owner Gary (great guy) is still there too.
Prices are reasonable too.
If you're in the area, stop by for a visit.

Will never go there because I live in the UK, but bumping this thread because we need to save our Record stores so it needs the exposure, go and visit if you can!

 

I still dream of having a record/music shop...

Join the club, 10 years ago I had a choice of 9 different 2nd hand record shops and 8 'new to buy' Record shops within my 10 mile radius, now I only have 3 'new to buy' and 1 crappy market store which sells a few 2nd hand Cds, nothing that would interest me though I really don't get why 2nd hand Cd shops are no more, they must be loads of people like myself etc

haven't been for years.... do you know their hours? do they have a good supply of catalog discs or used cds? thanks, jw

 

Last time I was there I just briefly glanced through there stuff.
Need to go back when I can spend more time.
They had a nice selection of CDs (New & Used).
They have a great selection of used vinyl.
A lot of the vinyl prices I saw were reasonable.
I have to recheck the times, but I think they are open Noon-8:00 PM through the week.
