  6. Thanks for the comments guys. Sorry about the picture of the Frazier 15s - that room has recessed lighting, it's dark which is great for listening but terrible for pictures. Here's an older picture of one of the Fraziers taken outside last summer. I've since put casters on them, so they're up off the floor, "easy" to move at 166lbs, pretty nifty. They sound really nice with tubes, and super efficient - the SPLs are intense. I need to do some work with turntable isolation before I can do any real phono listening with them, as the table/tone arm picks up rumble.

I'm familiar with that piece. Superb performance! :righton:

I have an old Pioneer Elite DV-05 that still puts out a stellar DVD image.

Love that Kenwood! Nice system. How does the play station sound with the tube buffer?

it just amazes me how well regarded the SCPH-1001 edition of the PS1 is as an audiophile CDP. my mother has one, though i have never considered trying it out. i mean, how could a video game console possibly outperform the all discrete, CLASS-A output of this beauty?

That X10D is an item that interests me, too. MF will come up with a V-10D and I am a fan of the V series - so what can I expect from such a buffer ? Level the signals ?

Thanks for the comments. The Musical Fidelity does help the sound of the Sony Playstation, giving it a little more air. As to how old the table and integrated are, I am not really sure, I bought them both used a few years ago. I made a few changes to the turntable and left the Kenwood alone.

Who would have thought about using a PS1 for a dedicated CD player. I might consider that since there bountiful on CL and used video game stores for easily under 10 bucks. And I am in the market for a used CD player.
