The Band - Music from Big Pink - SACD - Lovely *

The new MFSL of the Band's Music from the Big Pink is a thing of power and beauty. No s**t. Betters the DVD-a and the previous Mofi. Deeper, wider, warmer, more 3-D. and so and so forth. Hats off to masterer Shawn R. Britton ... it's truely a stunner.

 

That is quite a statement...

Does this SACD have a redbook layer? If so, any opinion?

 

of course it has a cd layer, SACDs are backwards compatible with legacy cd players.

 

All Mofi SACD's (and all recent SACD's for that matter) have a redbook layer.

Thought I'd answer for Canadians here. Amazon.ca's price is $24. (About $20.50 USD.) They also have the MFSL Rickie Lee Pirates for $10. (About $8.50 USD.)

Amazon often (usually?) gets MFSL releases after online music dealers get theirs.

 

Amazon may not have this yet, but Music Direct (the home of MFSL) is now showing it as *available*.
