I haven't seen anything posted here and I don't know anything about this label.

    Allman Brothers (Eat A Peach),
    Rod Stewart (Gasoline Alley),
    John Cage (Fear),
    Nico (The End),
    Cream (Goodbye),
    Joe Jackson (Look Sharp),
John Mayall and The Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton...

Not a bad lot to start with.

Wow. Some great titles!! Very interested in the source for these. They're certainly not cheap. In line with the Speakers Corners vinyl. I noticed Look Sharp has the bonus track that was included on the poor sounding cd remaster.

Interesting find. I've never heard of this label before either. I would love to know what their sources are. Might be worth an experimental listen...

I've just noticed in the German website I found that the Bluesbreakers album has 4 bonus tracks.

    Doesn't sound promising. :sigh:

We'll have to wait and hear.

All seem to be Universal titles.

I spoke with Acoustic Sounds, but they had no info on the label, other than it was being distributed by Runt Distribution. I looked up Runts website and see they also distribute the 4 Men With Beards label, as well as others. I shot them an email about Vinyl Lovers and will relay the reply here.

You would think that before they buy any copies, Acoustic Sounds, or any dealer for that matter, would want to know more about these. I can't figure out why they can't(or won't) get more info from their distributor. Weird.

A UK mail order website Diverse Vinyl are saying they are from the same guys who produce the Four Men With Beards and Lilith LPs.

Yes, and they are limited to 1000 titles. My guess is 99% CD source.

Ben, I found this label advertised about a week ago as well and was wondering about the sound quality.

We sure are spoilt for choice on titles lately anyway!

Sometimes I am just wondering the sources that Lilith uses, because this label has reissued a lot of obscured titles, for which some of their master tapes may not exist anymore.

There's a Riot Going On. :righton:

Hopefully sound quality is a goal. Otherwise, simply vinyl for the sake of vinyl makes no sense.

If that doesn't give away that these are CD sourced, nothing will.

I seriously doubt this company hunted down the analog tapes for this release, and then, as a bonus to analog-lovers everywhere, tacked on the CD bonus track!

    Exactly.

I received an email from Speakers Corner last month which said that Universal wont license them any more titles for the time being. They are trying to get that changed though.

Could this new label be why?

    Hmmm.....

Agree. All that stuff's been done recently. Not to mention (minus Velvets) most all of that stuff you can get fairly easy, for less money and mostly analog cut.

    Just a thought.
With the so called "vinyl resurgance" is it possible the dealers are just selling whatever they can get and not worring about sorcing and sound quality?
As with anything else we still have to be careful
