I saw this today in the music direct catalog.
    It says for 2008.

    Beck -Sea Change
Derek and the Dominoes -Live at Filmore
Roy Orbison -All time greatest hits (Steve did this one before)
    Marvin Gaye -What's going On
Marvin Gaye -Let's Get it On
Chuck Berry - St. Louis to Liverpool
Rickie Lee Jones - Flying Cowboys
    Rush -2112
    Rush -Moving Pictures
    Rush -Signals (Coming 2009)
    Little Feat -Salin' Shoes
    Little Feat -Dixie Chicken
    Little Feat -Waiting for Columbus

I am assuming they will be on cd (Maybe even SACD)
    Anyone in the know?

What's "Dixie Chicken"? I know I should know this, since I grew up in the south....

Also not sure whether "What's Going On" is the classic Marvin Gaye album, or something else.

More complete threads/posts would be appreciated! Not everyone in the world knows every album title in the world. :)

Thanks for the heads up, though, whatever these albums are. At least it gets some discussion going to so hopefully someone can fill in the missing details.

"What's Going On" gets remastered every few years so I guess it's due for another one.

Oh, man, I am all over What's Going On! Hands down, by far, my favorite album of all time.

SACD would be nice. 5.1 would be even better. Something tells me we won't be getting either.

Thanks! I'll be getting both of these. Hope they are done right; also looking forward to finding out what the format is. Dixie Chicken will probably be gold CD since Little Feat (self-titled) was gold CD... Not sure about What's Going On; safe bet for any MFSL going forward seems to be gold CD, but SACD would be a nice surprise.

I wonder if MFSL will outdo the 1994 Gavin Lurssen edition. I really like the sound of that disc.

Well all I can say is if they continue their current quality output then I think I will have died and gone to heaven when they both come out. Now all I need is Feats Don't and Last Record Album.

I assume as long as the 2008 titles sell enough then the other 2 will follow.

Interesting selection, since this is the (remixed) fuller version, as opposed to In Concert, which MFSL already did...

Also interesting that they're doing Sea Change, since there are already excellent-sounding SACD and DVD-A versions out there. And the redbook is HDCD. Can't imagine they could really improve upon that one.

cool! I'm all over the Feat and Marvin Gaye stuff. Great news........Sea Change is a strange choice, as someone already posted. The SACD sounds great. I'm not familiar with that Chuck Berry album. Anyone?

It's a weird list alright. I'm happy for the Little Feat albums as they've never been done before but the Rush titles that Mofi have already given the spit and polish treatment to aren't exactly tempting me and the Beck already sounds fine. I don't know what the consensus of the two-disc versions of What's Goin' On and Let's Get it On are but they sound okay to me.

I really wish they opt for titles to great albums which have never been given a deluxe treatment before--much less an album that Mobile Fidelity themselves have already done.

Derek and the Dominoes -Live at Filmore :o
Roy Orbison -All time greatest hits (Steve did this one before) :o
Marvin Gaye -What's going On :o
Marvin Gaye -Let's Get it On :o
Chuck Berry - St. Louis to Liverpool :agree:
Rickie Lee Jones - Flying Cowboys :o
    Rush -2112 :o
    Rush -Moving Pictures :o
    Rush -Signals (Coming 2009) :o
    Little Feat -Salin' Shoes :agree:
    Little Feat -Dixie Chicken :agree:
Little Feat -Waiting for Columbus :agree:

The Universal remaster of What's Going On and Let's Get it On are good... and they have the bonus stuff! No need for a Gold treatment (IMO)

The only titles I like... Little Feat and Chuck Berry. Because the originals sound not as good.

I don't understand Mofi's release philosophy
