Deep Discount Semi-Annual 20% Off DVD Sale

Word is that it will run from November 9th - 25th.

 

I think that the policy is that preorders don't apply. But what if the preordered item is actually released during the window of the sale?

It would seem the discount should apply to that item. But I wonder if one should wait to order the item after it is released, but before the end of the sale? Decisions, decisions.

I'm thinking about DVDs that are scheduled to be released on 11/20/07 (e.g., Nirvana).

 

I'm ordering Dr. Katz Professional Therapist on 11/20 . it should be 68 dollars!

 

I'm sure you'll be fine if you order it on the day the item is released. I'm really thinking seriously about the Ocean's 11, 12, & 13 trilogy that comes out on the 13th.

 

Do what I do: Place an early order for those items currently out that you want using the SUPERSALE code which you can only use once (I'm assuming that this will be the standard code word sent out to customers again); later on, use one of the plethora of other codes that they place with various sites they work with when the new releases become available within the time span of the 20% off window.

Thanks for the heads-up, bigtail! Please advise us of additional codes, which I assume will get added on Sunday when ads appear in the papers.

And contrary to past assertions, prices on the items I checked out have definetely not been raised before the sale began.

Moved to Coupons, Discounts & Sales.

 

The sale has begun and ends June 22. Code is DVDTalk. Fine print says "Coupon may only be used once per customer". I haven't tried other codes.

 

Anybody try this on a CD? If not, are there other options?

I've never known Deepdiscount to offer a code that works for cds.

 

Back in the old days when deepdiscountcd.com was a separate site, there was a code that worked for 10% off. IIRC it was something like 01010 and it worked for years.

 

At this point DDD has stopped using discount codes on cds. During the 20% sale the only thing applying to cds are items marked as "mega-sale" items and priced as shown on the site. Unfortunately not every cd is tagged with this designation(it's actually quite sporadic) and the deals are not much to brag about in my opinion.

 

The dvd sale has been extended to June 29th for those inclined.

 

I doubt they will do it for cd's. Mark up for dvd's is way higher for dvd's than for cd's.

 

You are right that this sale is going on once again and DVDTALK is a working code.

A few weeks back Deep Discount had a buy 1 get 1 FREE for Warner DVDs.....i scored
the Gangster vol. 2 & 3 box sets for a combined $44 and also Film Noir boxes vol.2 and 4 (which has 10 movies ) for $44

that buy one get one free deal was even better than the 25% off !
