I need a budget pair of shielded tonearm cables with a 90 degree din on one end and RCA plugs plus ground on the other. Any recommendations? Cheapest I've found so far are the Soar T3 at LPgear.com.

    There is this one:

Can't comment on the product quality but I am considering a cable for my Grace arm because this guy makes one with the male DIN I require.
He sells on e-bay and his rating is very high.

This one a bit pricier but the seller also has an excellent rating:

Thanks... I'll check these out. I see we both have a Systemdek. Mine is a IIX with a Profile II arm and it is about to come out of the closet after several years.

    OK... Here' what I bought:

When I received these (excelent service in just two days) they really looked familiar. I knew I had seen them somewhere. So after a little surfing the web, I found them on the Jelco web site. Jelco makes many OEM arms, and is the manufacturer of my Profile II tone arm. It's actually their model SA-250ST tonearm with a different name painted on it.

On Jelco's web site, they have the identical tonearm cable:

    http://www.jelco-ichikawa.co.jp/e_cable.htm

It's very well made with excellent connectors, and the cable is Mogami Neglex 2534 reference microphone cable. (printed on the cable)

Very intereting... Now when my Jolida Phono Preamp arrives tomorrow, I'll fianlly get back to analog after many years and see how these cables sound.

    Nice.

I had forgotten about the Crimson's. I dicovered them a few months back but had to strike them from my list because they don't have the male DIN option I need.

Let us know how they sound.
