A Bryston CD player? Wow, I'm gonna go out and give it a listen.

Bummer, it does not play SACD. Does it have a 20-year warranty like the Bryston amps?

It's definitely a bold move to go CD only...but on paper, this sounds state of the art and a real piece of equipment, not a toy. Head and shoulders above the Sonys and the Marantzes.

As far as the warranty's concerned, email James Tanner.

It does look interesting. Definately not a toy:

If they apply their 20-year warranty on this player, too, they'd better implemented a good transport and heavy duty drawer components. I wonder what this could be.

Looks like it should last!

I suppose it would be a good match for the "Bryston" sound....

They probably will have to provide some upgrade for a fee as part of the warranty, as 20-year is an eternity in the fast changing digital technology.

With the industry leading 20-year warranty on its amps, which no one else offers, we have a winner in North America right here - the next best thing to Made in USA. Why should anyone even both with imitations by Cayin and Shanling?

I believe the warranty for Bryston is now 5 years in writing. From what I understand though... they still take care of you if it's older.
They're suppose to have a stand-alone DAC out by year's end.

Does this 5-year warranty only apply to this new CDP? I believe the 20-year warranty is still standard on all Bryston amps ...

What is the Bryston sound? I've never actually heard this well-known audio firm's products...

:righton: Another fantastic Canadian audio equipment producer with reliability is Classe. Both Bryston and Classe are very well built.

It's a clean, clear sound with deep bass. Many percieve Bryston as bright sounding, but it is in fact neutral. So, emphasis is placed on your front end and speakers.

I think it's a bit on the bright side.
