Like I said earlier, i've been lucky enough to sit in on sessions like this, and this just makes me want to pull in some favors and do it again.....

Hearing it off the master on equipment you could never afford is an amazing experience. Now I'm getting doubly jealous. And if those were In-n-Out Burgers, I'll be suicidal.:)

    Nope. Note In-N-Out

I think it's a one of a kind place. I had never heard of it.

Folks, the photos were removed for a time pending a check from legal. Don't want to step on WB's toes and it is their product and their call. Hopefully they can be reposted soon..

I got my CS&N check disk today, it sounds great. I'm doing a few more gap tweeks and lowering track #10 by 1/2 a db. Then, it's off to manufacturing!

Thanks again all who attended. We'll do it again soon..

Fantastic. I can only encourage you to do whatever you can to do Deja Vu and 4 Way Street. I am VERY looking forward to this!
    (The CSN, I mean.)

    Thanks for that then...

Does "Marsh" have an SHTV-user name, for a PM herein?

So you concur, those were Hoffman-approved tasty burgers then?

    My Dreams Weaver Over To

Peter, you might of missed the bits upthread wherein it was agree in the main that NY is unlikey to allow any of his CSN-related works to be "Hoffmanized."

But in that vein, I was enjoying two finely-recorded albums from 1970-71, engineered by Stephen Barnhard, both of which are in the Atlantic/Warner Bros family tree of products (James Taylor, Phil Collins) which AF is lisencing of late, and both of which have stunningly well-recorded acoustic guitars which might sound out of this world good after then have had the "Hoffman" treatment.

    American Beauty

    and

If I Could Only remember My Name.

These two titles on AF would be BIG sellers!

I'd bet AF could get the right to those two, and they'd sell-out toot suite. I'd by two, and so would you, no doubt!

    cheers,
    mrbill

In 42 years I have never heard the whole album - I always preferred my CSN with a Y on the end. Seems like a good time to take my first listen to the whole album. Looking forward to getting it next month.

    Missed that. You are correct.

  13. Good to see this thread back. :righton:

Checked out those photos last night, nice shots!

Love the one with the tape reel threaded on the Ampex.

The DVD-A of If I Could Only Remember My Name sounds pretty spectacular already. One of the best sounding discs I own. At the same time. wasn't there a nicely remastered version of the regular CD released at the same time. Having just bought the DVD-A, I wasn't paying so much attention to the standard CD.

Yes, there are excellent sounding Lps, Cds and DVD-As of these two seminal titles, nevertheless, I'd love for Steve to get his hands on these tapes and put his "ears to the grindstone"... :righton:

    Hard, Card, Bard...

Thank you for the correction. :righton: I was just reading his IICORMN liner notes yesterday, but confused him with Devendra whilst typing...

Yeah, that looks familiar. It's bigger than it looks in that picture. It's a definite two-hander, for sure.

Martin, I remember when they first opened the Bergen Mall. :yikes:

I was in Kindergarten and it was a big deal. I remember eating at a place called 101 Hotdogs.

I figured you'd appreciate that. Don't remember the hot dog place, but that might have been before my time. Wolfie's I remember seeing though (sticking to the burger thing here) - you could see the fire rising up as they were cooking from walking past it in the mall.
