I probably had 5 London Calling cds just because I lost or completely scratched that one particular cursed title.I tried many masterings of Floyd`s The Wall except the MFSL.The WG Blackface clearly being my go to version.Other cds I`ve ended up with so many duplicate titles from flea market lots and trades, often just trying to own a better condition copy.Live After Death probably every incarnation.Beatles cds, records, tapes, plenty.

The White Album, without question. I have 20 some different copies on vinyl and CD.
I have several different performances of certain classical pieces, not sure if the OP was interested in that.

I think KISS's "Love Gun" must be another one for me. First on vinyl from a local flea market as a kid, later on an 80s Polygram-era cassette, eventually the 1st US CD issue, an 8-track picked up from a flea market in my teen years (which broke upon my first attempt to play it), the 1997 remastered version on cassette on a whim one day when I wanted to hear it and had a car with only a tape deck, and finally the remaster CD a few months back when Wal-Mart had many of the remasters for $5.

I think maybe XTC English Settlement -- the original Epic US single LP, the Virgin UK double LP, the Geffen US double LP, the UK single CD, and the Geffen CD with all the tracks.

For me, it's Simon & Garfunkel's Sound Of Silence. This was my very first album purchase, with my own money that I had saved after a summer of baling hay and picking strawberries and blackberries. I was 13 years old.
