There are 2 or 3 Enya 'greatest hits' available.... was it necessary to have another one?

There actually is only one other *official* greatest hits from Enya - "Paint The Sky With Stars: The Best of Enya". I think that one was released in 1999. It had two new songs - at the time. I was a little disappointed that this new compilation contained no new recorded material - which seems to be the trend these days with greatest hits packages.

Does the DVD offer surround sound?

I saw the CD version today at my local HMV store. I didn't buy it yet, and probably will not unless it offers a substantial improvement in sound quality compared to the old CDs.

Bought it today and yes, the DVD has both DD 5.1 and DTS 5.1 sound plus 2 channel PCM.

The sound on the disc is stunning. Real demo material. A must own for fans of Enya and surround sound fans.

    Massive bass on the DVD.

This is the first time these videos have been available in the US.

The DVD also includes 3 documentaries. They are all about 10 minutes long. One is about Enya and her rise to the charts, the other two are about her first 2 videos (Orinoco Flow/ Caribean Blue).

The CD+DVD set looks to be a good deal.

On the same subject, I seemed to pick up a 20-track Enya comp that must be under the radar. I got this used at Rasputin's for under $2. Haven't played it yet.

The cover art looks like "Paint the Sky With Stars Best of Enya." Searched allmusic.com, ebay, Amazon, Google Web and image search. No results.

Anybody know what to make of this? :)

I knew a guy(yes, guy)who loved to relax listening to Enya music. Not such a bad thing, really.

Ed Bishop Incredibly, I'm still here

I find Enya fun to listen to in small doses...though years back the insides of my van rattled whenever I put in the SHEPHERD MOONS CD...and the import vinyl of that one had surprising kick given how someone must've had to compress it.

You guys have me curious about that DVD...true 5.1 surround or upmix stuff?

I don't understand why the CD track lists are different between the CD-only and the CD+DVD versions. The CD of the CD+DVD version does not include Storms in Africa and Book of Days, both of which are strong tracks.

It's been a few weeks since the album came out. Does anyone own the CD-only version? If so, can you comment on the sound quality? Thanks.

P.S. Someone above said the sound quality of the DVD version is stunning. But I'm not sure if that version and the CD version are the same, as the track lists are not.
