"In 2001 Stand Up was remastered and this version of the album uses that remaster for the original part of the album on CD1. In this Collectors' Edition, we have added the John Peel Top Gear sessions as well as two US radio spots to the first disc. The second CD contains an edited version of the Live at Carnegie Hall concert. The DVD contains the Live at Carnegie Hall concert, but completely unedited and in 5.1 surround sound (audio only), as well as a brand new interview with Jethro Tull. The original LP release also featured a pop-up element to the gatefold, which has been reinstated for the first time in this Collectors Edition."

I've seen it on US release lists coming out here at the same time (Oct. 26)

 

The above + no new mixes = no sale.

 

$18.99 CAD - $8.00 (maybe what I can get for my like-new 2002 remaster) = around $11 for the 3-disc with all the extras + pop-up element, might be OK.

 

I think I will try to grab a mfsl stand up and call it a day on this set.

 

Is the Carnegie Hall concert the same one that was released in the cigar box?

Supposed to be 24/96 LPCM audio (playable on any DVD player); if so, this could be a very worthwhile upgrade.

Does anyone know if the DVD, which will contain the complete unedited concert, will contain a stereo mix as well, or just a 5.1 mix?
