I'd love to see Doug Pinnick work with Robin Trower. His voice would be perfect for Bridge Of Sighs.

Bender Rodriguez RIP Exene, best dog ever. 2005-2016

Tom and Shane together. That would kill!

How about Tom Waits and Keith Richards? The few songs they've done together are amazing, especially That Feel.

    My suggestions: Simon and Garfunkel
    Prince and Sly Stone

Oh wow. What a combo...it would be twisted, demented...but very interesting.

I agree. Actually almost any colaboration with Van Dyke Parks' wonderful quirky songs and someone else's singing would be marvelous, eg., Orange Crate Art.

  16. Shonen Knife and The Flaming Lips - The Flaming Lips might help Shonen Knife recapture the weirdness of their early work and Shonen Knife could add their marvelous harmonies to The Flaming Lips' brilliant productions.

The Beach Boys and The Queers.

The Beach Boys and The Honeys.

Dolly Parton and Neil Young - The Trio version of "After The Gold Rush" and "The Light Of The Stable" (with Neil Young) gives a hint of the possibilities.

  17. Ian Anderson and Richard Thompson should do an album, with Ian's contributions NOT including any singing. That would be nice I think.

Jeff Lynne and Paul McCartney could make a great retro-psych album together.

Yes, they worked together on McCartney's Run Devil Run (and No More Lonely Nights), but...

How did you arrive at this combination? I actually think Belew has the talent and temperament to work with virtually anyone, but Partridge still strikes me as an odd creative partner (not that the results wouldn't be good)...
