I've owned many types and brands of speakers over the course of years. I started w/AR4s, worked my way to AR2AXs, bought some ESS Heil speakers, had a pair of Magnapans, a set of Snell Type As, moved along to Avid 330s, a pair of older JBLs and now I have Klipsch RF7s and I just love these speakers. I really liked the Magnapans alot until they fell apart internally after only 2 years and the Snells were very good too but took up too much space. I like and still own the Avids which are very nice speakers but overall, I think the Klipschs sound like the best I ever had in my house.

I just love listening to music on these babies.

Do you feel the same about your speakers?

I love my Maggie 1.6s!

I'm quite happy with the overall sound and have focused lately on just buying music...

I really enjoy my Quad 22L's! They are a good match for my turntable and integrated amp.

Hi Mike,

I loved my Dahquist DQ-10s in the '70s, DQ-20s in the '80s, my Magnepan 1.5s in the '90s and now, my Magnepan 3.6s most of all. I have a feeling I'll be listening to them for a long time.

While each new speaker was an advance over what came before, the 3.6s are simply magical (especially with the Nordost cabling throughout the system and everything, including the speakers, "afloat" on vibration isolation devices).

It feels like every one of the CDs and DVDs on my shelves has been remastered to bring out more of whatever each record contains.

And they're especially useful in my work when I want (and need) to know what a recording really sounds like.

Yes. I purchased a set of Paradigm Studio 40's about three months ago & I still mention to my wife weekly how much I love my speakers. Best audio purchase I have ever made. What a pleasure to listen to.

Yes, I have had my Altec 604s for a little over a year and am very happy. If I had to have them in my living room, I don't think the size would work. But I have a small dedicated music room that is mine to do with as I please, so size doesn't matter.

I still love my Apogee Calipers and I definitely love my Tetra 506 customs. They are works of art that look cool and sound fantastic!

I like my Advents enough that I have two pairs:

However, what I REALLY want is a set of Pioneer CS99's in perfect mint condition. My Pioneer SX-1050 says that's all she wants for Christmas.

Oh yes!

My KEF 104aBs have been in the family since 1979.

They'll outlast us all!

I'm happy with my speakers, JM Labs Electra 915.1. But that doesn't mean I don't have the itch to upgrade.

My friend and I have been talking about building some full range back loaded horns. In fact, I've bought the drivers, Fostex FE107Es. We just have to get off our butts and build the cabinets. I haven't really heard these type of speakers, but I find the concept appealing. And the drivers didn't cost too much, so what the heck.

Love is a strong term, but YES, I love my Spendor SP2/3s. They're very neutral and easy to drive. And by "neutral" I don't mean boring or bright or mechanical, I mean little or nothing is added or subtracted from what I feed it.

I would not say that I love a pair of speakers, but I really like my Tannoy Arden. Transparent and dynamic are the best words I can find to describe them, and they can play really loud.

I some times wonder what the HPD385A 15" Dual Concentric would sound like in a modern cabinet.

My Missions do the job but I don't love them.

I'd love a pair of Quads or Precide Heils.

I'm with Barry - 3.6Rs - would only trade them for 20.1s.

Yes, I love my B&W 804s's.

I love them more than I've ever loved a pair of speakers.

As I've mentioned in other threads, nothing but wonder and contentment here with my Magneplanar MG IIs. Owning a pair of Maggies was a dream I thought would always be out of reach, and then this pair cropped up at a local used eqpt. shop with a short store-backed warranty *at a price I could afford* :goodie:! And they *passed the WAF test* :goodie: :goodie:  :goodie: ! I consider them the best audio eqpt. purchase I ever made, even if they do effectively shut me out of experimenting with those classic tube amps that get raves around here--but then, how could I complain about another stroke of good fortune, owning classic McIntosh ss to drive them? The two together make a great combination.

As is evident from other posts in this thread (and, again, elsewhere), Maggies seem to be one of those brands that draw fierce loyalty from those who favor them. Count me in that army.
