Thought we should get started with a thread on the upcoming 6th Season/Series of 24. Gonna be tough to beat Season/Series 5. Let's hope it's equally as good. From what I've read and seen so far, it looks like another total adrenalin rush.
There is a ***SPOILER*** or two in this first post. Careful.
Found some information at Wikipedia.
The sixth season, also known as Day 6, of the television series 24 is currently in production, and will premiere on Sunday, January 14, and on Monday, January 15, 2007, with a two-night, four-hour season premiere. Series 6 of 24 will air in the United Kingdom one week after the US premiere. Good news for our U.K. members.

At the end of the fifth season, after having spent the intervening eighteen months in hiding, Jack was captured by the Chinese and was last seen imprisoned on a Shanghai registered container ship. Jack's girlfriend Audrey Raines notices his disappearance and reports it to CTU.
President Charles Logan has been arrested by federal marshals on the orders of the Attorney General and Vice President Hal Gardner due to a recorded confession in which Logan admitted to his wife, Martha, his involvement with a conspiracy to sell nerve gas to terrorists. Logan will either resign or face impeachment and most likely criminal charges.

Notable new cast members this year include:
Carlo Rota as Morris O'Brian (some relation to Chloe?)
Eric Balfour as Milo Pressman
Marisol Nichols as Nadia Yassir
Regina King as Sandra Palmer (sister to the Palmer brothers)
Peter MacNicol as Thomas Lennox
Yes Peter "John Cage" MacNicol does double duty this TV season. He is of course also on the CBS FBI drama Numbers as nerdy physicist/professor Dr. Larry Fleinhardt.
James Cromwell as Phillip Bauer, Jack Bauer's estranged father
Alexander Sadig as Hamri Al-Assad. (Think he's the main bad guy this year.) Sadig was most recently seen in the movies The Nativity Story as the Angel Gabriel and in the George Clooney film Syriana as Prince Nasir Al-Subaai. Sadig was also Doctor Bashir on Star Trek - Deep Space Nine.
Chad Lowe as Reed Pollock, a savvy political operator based in the White House.
Powers Boothe as U.S. Vice President Noah Daniels
Rick Schroder as CTU operative Mike Doyle
David Hunt as Darren McCarthy, a villainous accomplice
The role was originally given to Eddie Izard, but Izard was replaced after 1 day of shooting due to scheduling conflicts.
No mention of Jude Ciccolella as Mike Novick. Guess the character has been written out.

We find out more about Paul McCrane's character Graham ("Blue Tooth Mafia") this year. We meet his family, wife and kid. In a new 15-second spot shown on FOX, Jack is shown choking Graham. Graham says, in pain, "You're hurting me." Jack responds with "Trust me, I'm not." Way to go Jack!

If you don't know already, D.B. Woodside, Wayne Palmer is now the President. :)

Kiefer Sutherland said in a recent interview that: "We've had five years of [Jack Bauer] saving a large thing; this one's much more about him saving his own ***. He'll go from being the one who hunts people down to the one who's being hunted, so that in itself turns the show around."
