OK, based on what I have heard, I have decided not to get the Toshiba 5700. Too many bugs, etc. Now I am looking at the Panasonic DVD RP91. Can anyone tell me if they have had any problems with it, and if it is a good machine, both for audio and video quality?
I own the RP91 and have been very pleased with it so far. I bought it for the DVD-A capability and it sounds great. I also think it does a good job with redbook CD's as well. I only have a 36" RCA TV so I probably am not a good one to judge its video quality, but it is better than my old 1st generation Toshiba DVD player. I can't say anything about it's progressive scan operation.
