I just pick up a Conrad Johnson PV7. The Guy I bought it from seem nice, is that the norm?

Been buying and selling on A'gon for a few years and never had a problem. OTOH, I'd say about 50% of my Ebay dealings have been unpleasant in some way.

Audiogon is a good group, there is a lot of good advice there as well.

I purchased my Krell 300i amplifier and my Sony ES555 SACD player on Audiogon. Both items were in excellent condition, as advertised, and were also very reasonably priced. Also, both sellers were great to deal with. Audiogon is an excellent source for buying audio equipment at decent prices.

I bought an amp at Audiogon and the seller was excellent. I wish he had a shop near me he was that good!

I have bought a couple of items on Audiogon and the sellers have been a lot more sociable than the average on eBay - probably because it is a more focused community of interest. There are rogues out there but I think they are easier to unearth on Audiogon just as they would be here :)

All the best

I bought my Lexicon DC-1 V4 on Audiogon, and I was very happy with the transaction.

I bought an equipment rack from a dealer on Audiogon. Great deal and transaction. There's a lot of good deals there too. Personally I'd stick with reputable dealers when shopping Audiogon, but most sellers seem on the level.

I purchased both of my Dynavector phono cartridges on Audiogon, and I bought my Monolithic phono stage from a seller there as well. Met some cool folks there, no problems.

I think I sold something there once too, but I can't for the life of me remember what ...

Audiogon is a great site. A good class of people with nice tastes.

I sold my earlier Sony SACD SCD-777ES on Audiogon before I bought the XA777ES. A college student who by coincidence live at U of P about
10 miles from my house answered the add. I drove the unit downtown
to his Townhouse on campus where he paid me cash on the spot.

1/2 of what I bought upstairs for HT was from Audiogon. Basic reason was, I was looking for a Rotel. Sellers there care and know about their stuff. Makes a huge world of difference.

Then again, I have a KLH Sub that I bought off of some chap on eBay for $40 "Broken" because he blew the caps. Replaced, rewired, resoldered. A bargain!
