Friends,
I love to see your location when reading your posts. I don't mean you have to give us your street address, but a city or state (or country for those visiting from outside of the USA) would be really helpful.
So, if you click on "user cp", you can modify your profile to include your location.
Thanks to all who visit here!

Welcome Bradely!! - Glad to see you here!
I knew you would get here sooner or later, and I would like to mention to any and all that he may just be your the best authority to classic country you will ever need (although his tastes and info extend way beyond that genre). Maybe this should have been a private message, but I have no shame to say that he has helped me with some clasic questions many - a - time, and I'm glad to see him here.
Although I expected it:)

Cape Cod should be familiar to a lot of people who liked the Kennedys. Heck a lot of you have been here. Hyannis is where I'm from, right in the center.
Cape Cod could be concidered a whole state. If you lived here, you'd understand. 10-12 towns all take the same identity, and just about the same idealism.
Anyway, salut. Massachusetts isn't just Boston, although it's wonderful to be there too.

Saratoga Springs, NY. After 7 years in Seattle, it's nice to be home ! (2 months now) What did 7 years get me ? A much bigger CD collection and a great wife. But home is where the heart is. 9/11 reminded me of that. Seattle was and is great, but living in the country where it's nice and quiet is where it's at for me, even though NYC and Boston are only 2 1/2 to 3 hrs away and always a fun trip to visit friends and family. Life is good my friends !
Best - ED

Here you go, Steve, from sunny Florida! I like the new home and I'm still working on my "wish list" and my equipment list too....not to mention a web site redesign, recording projects, looking for love in all....oops, sorry. Just remember, "everything you know is wrong" and "We're all Bozos on this bus".

Detroit, Michigan. (Okay, suburban Sterling Heights if you really want to get technical about it.)
The "house by the side of the road" is a little in-joke for Detroit Tiger fans, should any others among the 10 or 12 of us who are left happen to belong to this forum. ;)

I could write a book about life on this planet, with the chapter headers all Firesign Theatre record titles.
Waiting for the Electrician to start the book, is scary, since it makes a great opener.
That and "Why does the porridge bird lay his egg in the air?"
Has anyone seen and actually SEEN the Columbia reissues on the racks yet??

I actually saw the new issue of How Can You Be In Two Places At Once at, of all places, a Best Buy store. Looks pretty good.

I've seen a few of them lately too. I actually have the MFSL aluminum's of "How Can You...", "Dear Friends", "Don't Crush That Dwarf, ..." and "Back From the Shadows". It was fun to watch the streaming video of them at work on their first XM satellite broadcast, too. They were WAY ahead of their time!

My name is Rodney and i live in De Soto Kansas. Its a small town about 30 miles from down town Kansas City MO. Not much goes on around here. some company wanted to build 900 million dollar theme park called The Land Of OZ,but it got voted out.
Just to tell you Steve I got an audiophile ear back in 1993 after I bought Def Leppard's Pyromania on an Ultradisc 2. I got two Advent 25TH Year Edition speakers. I rebuilt them adding 2 softdome midranges and 2 super tweeters (5 to 50 khz response on the tweeters). When I picked up Rush's Signals CD with the gain system in place at MoFi it took off from there. I got 130 gold CDs(9 DCC), 80 remastered standard cds, 7 Super Audio CDs, 7 audio DVDS(DVD-A) and 2 MFSL LPs. I dont have a real high cost system, but I like it when the artist sounds like he or she is in my room. he he he. Steve, those CCR titles will be on my list of LPs. Thanks :D

Greetings from England, fellow audiophiles.
As long as it's played back through a pair of QUAD ESL 57's I'm happy.

Thanks for the welcome Uncle Al. On the country music poll I am conducting, there are lot more people on this forum who like bluegrass/old-time, rockabilly, 70's country rock and western swing over any other style of country music which means that Steve should forget about mastering "hot new country" and "Urban Cowboy" era music so far.

Looks like there are much more people from the States than from Switzerland...
All the best

...where I come from!
But for others... I'm living in Eckental... a little town near from Nuremberg, and that's not far away from Munich - home of the Octoberfest - the biggest public festival in the world!
Cheers!!!
Cool, Claus! We have a mini Octoberfest in Kitchener, Ontario but I'd bet my Abbey Road remasters against your gold discs that it's nothing compared to your Octoberfest ;) .
Cheers!
And just for everyone's info, in case you are interested, Toronto is a large city on the north shore of Lake Ontario. I grew up in Leaside, an area of TO. The Niagara river and Niagara Falls empty into Lake Ont. Buffalo NY is a mere 1.5 hours drive away.

Gary... if you would like a comparison... the Octoberfest in Munich is the same, if you would like to compare a large shopping mall against the West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton!
check:

I've been to Marti Gras... I don't know how that compares to Oktoberfest, but I'd like to make the journey and find out!
:D
Steve,
I know you've been here, in the pearl of the Pacific, but has anyone else?
I'm one of the rarities here in Vancouver. Actually born and raised here, which is almost unheard of here nowadays.
Yes we really do have it all here. 1 hour away: Olympic ski mountains, the great outdoors, like probably alot of you have never seen, wild glacier fed rivers, Whales and even Great White sharks (in the summertime), Bald Eagles, Mountain lions, Wolves, you name it/ we got it.
The only thing we seem to be shy of is a very reasonably priced audiophile cd distributor!
Gary,
Are we the only Canadians here on the forum? Heck, there seems to be more English and German members than Canadians.

Hi Dave ! As a former resident of Seattle, my wife and I used to take trips up to Vancouver and Victoria on the weekends. Your a lucky man, to live in such a beautiful place. My wife and I will be visiting her family back there next fall, and we definitely want to visit Vancouver again while we're there. Great place !
Best - ED
Dave, there was someone on the old board who's ID was Tangent who I believe is also from Toronto. And then there also was a Robert H (Hutton) from Toronto.
I don't know of any Canadians on this new board.
We've gotta spread the news, don't we? ;)
