Don't grocery stores still use them for receiving fruit? I'll guess that if you go to the loading dock of you favorite grocery store you may find some.
Finding smaller ones for singles may be more difficult. I use 'Peaches' boxes for those.

I've been searching eBay for Record/Album creates w/o any luck and the link above is no longer active. If anyone knows where to find some, I'd be interested.
Thanks.

I came up with the following solution specifically for Japan Mini LPs. If this looks interesting to you drop me a message.

I only have one Peaches crate left. Wish I had kept them all.

STAPLES have plastic crates. Are they strong enough?

I still have my "Peaches" and "Tracks" crates, stacked in a closet housing the remaining LPs and LDs that I have. I also have 2 Peaches 45 crates. These crates were great. Inexpensive and they looked good enough to "keep out" in the old apartment days. :D

I've purchased a bunch of these from Tony's Woodshop. He's a great guy to work with and can custom-fabricate. This summer, I transported all my LPs in these containers as well as use them for supporting my gear. You can pick up an entire crate full of these by the top bar for easy relocation, if needed.

Todd the Vinyl junkie has crates that are a bit expensive, but very heavy duty and won't bow in the middle the way our Peaches crates did...

If you already have a table saw, a planer, a hammer and nails then you could easily make one of the peach crates yourself. Take a look at those pictures and you'll see that there is no intricate joinery involved. Just cut a few planks to size and bang some nails in.
I'm going to make one this weekend and I'll let you know how it went.

IIRC those heavy duty commercial plastic milkcrates were downsized slightly (to just under LP size) simply because too many were getting stolen for record storage use.
Any you find in use today will most likely be too small to hold an LP.

The peachesrecordcrates.com site looks like it taken down.
I wonder if it was legit?

Colorado Record Crates is an option. No affiliation with them, I just like their crates.

I know they're not peach crates but have you considered Expedit shelves from IKEA? I like the units that are 2 cubes x 4 cubes.

You can get plastic milk crate looking ones that will fit records. Not milk crates, they're too small. But if you go somewhere like Staples, you can get these file holders that look like milk crates. They're really cheap and hold records perfectly.

Crates take up so much room because they can't be stacked. Here's the one I like for medium sized collections. WAF is high as well. I was able to move lots of vinyl right into my living room when I bought a few of these and she didn't mind one bit :-)

I have a couple of these now. They are sold by Ikea and called the "Expedit" shelving system. My wife appreciates the fact that I no longer have old peach crates laying around.

I got the one with low WAF :D so mine stays in the stereo room. I would love to have everything in my living room.

Rasputin's—a record store chain out of Berkeley—has plenty of "Peaches" style crates.
